The owners of this restaurant are truly a delight! It’s great to see establishments that truly take pride in and love what they do, which is clearly the case at Uptown China! This is a must, 10/10 would always recommend, and that’s because aside from the incredible experience, the food is even better...Best spot in town for chicken fried rice and kung pao chicken hands down!

I love this place we used to come every year for xmas eve. The owner is friendly, place is clean and food is good. Unfortunately this year for xmas eve we waited two hours for our takeout order only to walk away with a refund and no food. They seemed very disorganized and many customers waited for hours for their orders. I tried to be patient it was clear they were overwhelmed however when customers started getting orders that were after our time slot it was clear that they were not using any type of reliable system for preparing meals. You would think with so many months of takeout they would have it perfect but they ran around aimlessly. I would recommend this place but wait until they open in person dining, make a reservation also. I recommend sweet and sour chicken, honey walnut prawn, sesame beef are all good.

Missed this place while we lived in SoCal. Uptown China is by far the best Chinese food in Seattle. It's been 4 years since the last time I was here and it is great to know the food is just as good as I remember. Praying they survive COVID-19.

I used to live Next door to this beautyful place,the food was really good,and the people working there were a beautyful soul and very kind.i was ther 2005/2008.hope are still the same!

I have been looking for good Chinese food since coming to Seattle and I've finally found it! Last night I was on my way to a meeting and I had about 20 minutes. I popped in because The smell wafting down the block was to good to ignore. I ordered the items I judge every Chinese restaurant by, their spring rolls and house rice. Wow! Both were incredible and I am currently eating the leftover rice for lunch because the portion was so big. I have to say I was especially impressed with the spring rolls. They were so crisp and flaky and the flavor was simple but incredible. I will be going here again!

It's just okay. Nothing special and it's overpriced. Their generals chicken is 6 dollars more than it should be with not a lot of flavor. I've had much better Chinese food in Lynnwood. Seattle usually has amazing Chinese food. Not sure why this place has close to five star rating. The generals also had about only 8 pieces of chicken so 2 dollars a piece is kinda nuts

I’m visiting Seattle and I must say this is the BEST Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurants are either a hit or miss. I haven’t found a good restaurant until now and I’m sad it’s not closer to where I live. :(

Best Chinese food in Seattle! YouMei always greets you with a great big smile! I love the noodles, mandarin spicy beef and the best moo sho pork in the city. Just go you will be happy.

I order the SP chicken wings with the house fried rice.It was one of the best Chinese Cuisines I’ve ever had a little pricey for the potions,I’m from Florida it cost most to live in Seattle

The pork fried rice was really good but the portion was small and spendy..

Expensive 50 bucks for two average sized servings and no plates no soy sauce. Wont be revisiting.

Ordered delivery since the quarantine has all restaurants closed for traditional seating, and we wanted to support local. Food was delivered quickly and was so good. I got Mongolian Beef and the flavor was really good. The chicken wings were large and tasty as well, and the Kung Pao had just the right about of heat. I will absolutely order from them again, and once we’re able to go back to restaurants I’ll be visiting in person.

Best Chinese Restaurant in Seattle. Located in lower Queen Anne, walking distance to Space Needle and other nearby attractions. Excellent food and very gracious service. Great Lunch specials that are served quickly. I got the Dry String Beans (yum) with fried rice and two spring rolls (sub 1 instead of soup) for $11. And a pot of hot tea was included. The only thing that could have made this 5 star is serving Spring Rolls hot.... mine were very cold. I liked the spot of hot mustard in the sweet and sour sauce! Most places don't do this, but it's great. I appreciate the way I was quickly, efficiently, and kindly taken care of when I was in a hurry during lunch! Can't wait to come back and try more delicious entrees. Bus service nearby.

Yu-Mei’s Uptown has been a staple in the neighborhood for over 20 years. Their hot and sour soup is truly the best in Seattle. Great spot to fulfill your Chinese craving whether you dine in or carry out. (They also do delivery!)

I have been going here for 20 years. I have seen the food drastically improve in the past two years. It is less greasy. Along with higher quality food does come some decrease in portion size. The best part of the meal still is the oranges and fortune cookies!
